Weekly Bonus Homework

November 19-November 23
This weeks weekly bonus homework is to pay it forward!! A few weeks ago the grade six students attended a presentation about paying it forward. It is important to do something for someone without expecting something back. Be a leader at Columbia school and pay it forward this week and the weeks ahead!

November 13-November 16
It has been a long time since we have done a weekly bonus homework. Part of the reason is that there is a lack of regular homework being handed in. We will start fresh this week and the weekly bonus homework will be to do some form of exercise each day of the week. Keep a log of what you did and how you felt after!

October 22-October 26

Sorry this picture isn't very clear. Here are the instructions:
 Materials:
-plastic tub or sink
-cookie sheet
-tape
-clear plastic wrap
-4 pencils or chopsticks
-water
-coarse ground pepper or small bits of styrofoam or paper

Procedure:1) Tape pencils on a cookie sheet so that they create a channel that starts out wide, then narrows
2) Press plastic wrap tightly over the cookie sheet and pencils to waterproof the channel.
3)Tilt the cookie sheet a small around so that the narrow end of the channel drains into the tub or sink.
4)Put some pepper into your water sample.
5) Slowly pour the pepper-water into the channel. Record your observations about the speed of the water as it travels down the channel

Reflect1) Where did the water travel the slowest?

Each week there will be a bonus homework activity for you to try and complete. This weeks Weekly Bonus Homework is to find and tell a joke! On Monday, September 10 you will have time to share your jokes with the class. We will then post some of our favourite jokes on our blog!

How do you make a fruit punch? Give it boxing lessons

A guy gets mad at a game. You walk in the room. He looks at you. What do you say? "U MAD BRO?"
